James Severn

James fully committed to property in 2022 and set up and founded DerBnB in 2023. Diving straight into serviced accommodation, James successfully operated & managed over 60 properties in Derby and is no stranger to the industry. James has now progressed to offering his operational & management expertise to external clients and is actively involved in the overall running of the company. James takes great pride in the service that DerBnB’s team provides and has already built a strong infrastructure is such a short space of time.


Donna Kelly

Donna started in hospitality in 2019 working for a major international hotel chain. However despite her love for hospitality there was still a strong passion for property that was unfulfilled. Moving to 2021 Donna went into a sales role with a local estate agent and gained vital insights into the industry. Combining the knowledge gained from previous roles Donna stepped into serviced accommodation in 2022, successfully creating, leading and managing housekeeping operations on over 60 properties in Derby. Donna has a great passion for high quality service and is actively involved in making sure DerBnB’s clients receive nothing less.


Oliver Ibbotson

Oliver has built a wealth of experience in the property market in Derby. Working for a local estate agent from 2014 he single handedly grew a HMO portfolio from 0 – 400+ fully managed units in just over 3 years. Using the knowledge he gained Oliver went on to found Houseshare Heroes a local HMO management company that now manages over 200+ units providing landlords & tenants with a 5* customer service. With a talent for for rapidly growing successful property management businesses Oliver now takes on the challenge of the ever growing serviced accommodation market, taking great pride in ensuring landlords and tenants alike receive second to non customer service.


Danny Chippendale

Meet Danny, a property enthusiast whose journey began at the ripe age of 16. Starting right out of school with a big national corporate Estate Agency, he soaked up the industry for 5 years. But when the company closed its doors, Danny took off on an adventure, exploring different countries and soaking in life’s experiences.

Yet, the pull of property was strong, and in 2005, he dove back in, grabbing his first investment property. That marked the beginning of an exciting career in property investing and management. Danny wasn’t just handling his own investments; he was also juggling the management of over 500 HMO rooms. All this while kickstarting a successful SA business!

Then, enter Oliver Ibbotson, a fellow property entrepreneur. Together, they created a management company for HMOs from scratch, growing it to oversee 400 rooms. Simultaneously, they built a booming Serviced Accommodation business with 20 properties.

But the story doesn’t end there. Cue James and Donna, two local entrepreneurs bursting with SA management expertise. When they crossed paths, it was clear they were destined to collaborate. And thus, DerBnB was born, bringing together their collective wisdom and passion for property into a dynamic venture.

Camron has worked in property maintenance since 2013. Specialising in plumbing & heating he is also comfortable handling electrics. Keen to ensure that our clients are being provided with a great service, Camron responds to out of hours calls and handles maintenance enquiries with ease.

At the helm of our Laundry and Linen department is Evita, a seasoned professional with multiple years of expertise in ensuring our guests experience the epitome of comfort and cleanliness. Meticulous in overseeing the laundering process and linen rotations, she is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality, ensuring a fresh and inviting ambiance for every guest stay. Evita plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless and efficient turnover of linens, contributing to the overall excellence of our hospitality services.
